Blue Devils Hand Everest Loss in Finale
July 17 — The Marshfield Blue Devils wrapped up the regular season the same way they started, with a 3-2 win over D.C. Everest. This win came on the road and was highlighted by a strong relief effort from Hunter Korger, who picked up the win for Marshfield.
Hurlers for Marshfield allowed just nine hits to D.C. Everest.
Hunter Korger earned the win for Post 54. He went five innings, surrendering one run, five hits, and striking out seven. Andrew Baranowski took the loss for D.C. Everest. He threw two innings, giving up two runs, two hits, and striking out two.
D.C. Everest collected nine hits. Baranowski and Cody Duffrin each collected multiple hits for D.C. Everest. Duffrin went 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with one run batted in. Baranowski led D.C. Everest with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
